Exxile on Euphoria 2001
February 16 |
The funniest thing this time was Andrew Eldritch dancing like a robot to the
Gary Glitter beat. Or so people say.
In this gig the setlist of the end-tour had nearly formed -- the only differences were inclusions of Anaconda and War on Drugs, the last time this tour, and the lack of Alice. Support act: Paradise Lost. |

Just came back home from the Stuttgart gig. To say it in a few words: the
show was really great! OK, there were no surprises in the setlist but after
all, the Sisters did a damn good job. The venue was nice and the sound
almost superb. The crowd wasn't very active, beside the tiny mosh pit in the
front rows, so Andrew didn't have too many words for us. But -- and that was
even better -- he was in a really rockin' mood and didn't let himself stop by
the standing masses in the back.
Highlights of the show were the exploding Body Electric (fast version, of
course. Probably the best song tonight, pure napalm!), two really intense
Floods, a really aggressive Snubnose with the Doktor showing no compromises
concerning power and strength and the fantastic medley, where Eldritch seemed
to explode every second. Storming! Lemmy and Gary would have been proud of
him if they could have been there.
One of the most coolest things: love god
Eldritch dancing the robot during the Gary Glitter smasher. Fantastic! Went
perfect with his tight black top and his red shades. He looked like a
reptile ;)
Last but not least, big shout-outs to Posy and Robin. I had again a great
time with you and I'm sure you won't forget your trip through and to the black
forest ;) See you next time!

The gig was not very good. Far less good than the
Mera Luna gig. Eldritch was not fun. Should have sported the
winter cap.
